Stephen is a trusted adviser to Chairs, Boards and CEOs on succession, Board effectiveness and leadership performance. For more than 30 years, he has helped listed, private and purpose-led organisations navigate leadership transitions, strengthen Board capability and prepare for the future. He has led senior advisory practices at Heidrick & Struggles, Russell Reynolds Associates and Deloitte, and founded specialist advisory firms. His work has taken him across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and other international markets. A former British Army officer and helicopter pilot, Stephen holds an MBA from AGSM.

Kok Kong brings the perspective of a Board Chair, CEO and global leadership adviser. He works with Chairs, Boards and CEOs across international markets on governance, succession and leadership. He co-founded Maritana Partners and previously held senior partner roles at Egon Zehnder, where he served as Secretary to its Global Partnership and worked closely with the firm’s Chair. He earlier led an Asian healthcare company and worked in corporate finance at Arthur Andersen. A former Chair of HammondCare, Kok Kong holds degrees from the University of Melbourne and London Business School, and is a CPA.

Peter brings first-hand experience as a global CEO, Board member and adviser to Chairs. He supports Boards on Chair and CEO succession, Board effectiveness, governance, culture and leadership risk. Over more than 30 years, he has lived and worked across Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America. He was CEO of DHL’s independent global supply-chain business and, at Russell Reynolds Associates, led the Global Board Advisory Practice, served as Managing Director of Asia-Pacific and as the Global COO, and sat on its Global Board. A former corporate lawyer, Peter holds BCom, LLB and LLM degrees from Queensland University of Technology.

Eliza brings specialist Asia-Pacific governance expertise to CHAIRS Global’s international work. She advises Chairs and Boards of listed and private organisations on governance, Board performance, succession and Director search. Before joining CHAIRS Global, Eliza was a Director in the Board Advisory Practice of international law firm Ashurst, supporting Boards through complex governance and leadership matters across multiple sectors. Her work combines legal rigour with a practical understanding of how Boards operate, address performance and renew their membership. Eliza holds Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law.

Alvin partners closely with Chairs and Directors to enhance Board performance, governance and Director development. He brings extensive international consulting experience, having most recently led the Board Effectiveness Practice for APAC at Russell Reynolds Associates. Alvin also spent a significant part of his career with PwC, supporting its Entrepreneurial and Private Business Practice in the areas of Family Governance and Enterprise Risk. Active in the governance community, Alvin serves on the Advocacy and Research Committee of the Singapore Institute of Directors, was a principal contributor to its corporate governance guidebooks, and speaks on Board effectiveness at director education platforms including INSEAD and the Financial Times. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours from Imperial College London and a Master of Science in Risk Management from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Matt brings more than 20 years of experience shaping content, products and platforms for broad and specialist audiences across media, technology and financial information. He leads content strategy, platform operations and digital experience at CHAIRS Global, including the member platform and askCHAIRS. At Microsoft he was Editor-in-Chief of Microsoft News Australia and Senior Program Lead across AI content, GPT engineering, where he also co-authored Microsoft Start’s Global AI Content Strategy. At the ABC Matt responsible for the day-day operations of abc.net.au and led content for the ABC News app. He was also Head of Content at Livewire Markets, CarExpert, and Features Editor, Opinon editor and Literary Editor at The Sydney Morning Herald.
